25 Things I Want To Do In the Next 5 Years

My Bucket List

It's hard to believe that I'll be turning 25 this month. But what's really hard to believe is that in 5 years I will be 30. I still remember sitting in a hot auditorium wearing a cap and gown singing graduation songs with my high school graduating class. I remember walking across the stage getting my diploma, happy as hell to know that I was going to college in a few months.

Then I look back and think about how fast my college years went. I started my freshman year almost 6 years ago, but it feels like yesterday that I, along with 50 other freshmen spent the night before the first day of school roaming campus, trying to find our classes so we wouldn't be lost.

All of these things have come and gone, and although I can't go back in time, turning 30 in 5 years is making me look forward to what's next in my life. So I decided to create a to-do list of things that I want to make happen before I turned 30. Everything on this list are things I really want to do that either hasn't happen yet or I'm working towards:

  1. Travel to London
  2. Spend at least 1 week outside of the US - anywhere
  3. Visit Cali and go trail running
  4. Move to Atlanta (Georgia)
  5. Become a full-time entrepreneur
  6. Have a child
  7. Write 2 books
  8. Start my own writing/mentoring program
  9. Invest in a stock
  10. Collect at least 100 books (books I've read or will read)
  11. Go to Africa
  12. Go on a cruise
  13. Become a New York Times Bestseller
  14. Host a series of in person workshops
  15. Save 10,000$
  16. Donate to a Philadelphia High School
  17. Teach a course at a college; adjunct faculty
  18. Visit The White House
  19. Take a Trip To the Grand Canyon
  20. Learn a new language
  21. Buy a Macbook
  22. Buy a car
  23. Go to the gym regularly at least 3X a week
  24. Get Interviewed by someone famous
  25. Go on a helicopter ride

I hope everything on this list can be accomplished within these next 5 years, but I can't wait to look back and see all that I do accomplish by the age of 30.
