Figuring Out The Next Move To Make

Moving Forward In Your Life

We don’t have all the answers and sometimes we find ourselves stuck, trying to figure out the next move to take. At times it can get so overwhelming and confusing that we end up feeling like we will never get to the next level or chapter in our lives. Remember, nothing is permanent, everything is temporary. Which means whatever you are going through right now is only temporary and instead of focusing on the fact that you’re not where you want to be, ask yourself these three questions:

1. How did I get here?

Think long and hard about where you are now and where you were before. Are there any steps that you think you took to get here. Understand that it’s okay to get lost and stumble along your journey, but know that it’s even more important not to stay lost and confused, but to gain clarity in who you are and what you want to do. Sometimes we happen to find ourselves in situations that could have been avoided. Other times, we are not the ones to blame. However, locating where and how we got to be where we are can help us not take the same path later on and recognize the signs.

2. What is it that I value at this moment?

Values are truly important in figuring out what you want in life. What you value says something about who you are as a person. You can value whatever you want in life, but understand that it is typically what you value that will reflect in the events and situations that occur in your life + it even adds to your approach and outlook on life.

3. What does the next level/chapter in my life look like?

The simplest question to ask yourself is literally how do you vision your next stage in your life. Understand that your dreams are real and can become your reality. If they weren’t real, GOD would not have instilled those thoughts in your mind. Once you take hold of your dreams that’s when they become real to you. Envision what you want your life to be like, your next chapter, stage, level, and began to take action. If you want to start a business and bring in income, vision what that looks like and the steps you have to take. If you want to write that book, start that boutique, sell merchandise, whatever, visualize what it looks like and start taking the steps towards it.
